The Architecture That Changes Everything
Salesforce Summer '26 introduced something that might matter more than any new feature.
Headless 360 is the biggest architectural shift in the company's 27-year history. Every platform capability is now accessible via API, MCP, or CLI. AI agents can act without ever opening a browser.
This is not an incremental update. It is a fundamental change in how enterprise software works.
The Summer '26 release includes over 60 new MCP tools, 30+ preconfigured coding skills, and a new Headless Experience Layer to support the entire agentic development lifecycle. Multi-Agent Orchestration allows multiple specialized agents to collaborate on one workflow, with the customer seeing a single point of contact. A hosted MCP server enables agents to access Salesforce data without hitting context window limits.
For developers, headless means Salesforce can be built any way they want. For AI agents, it means they can orchestrate apps, workflows, and business logic without rebuilding anything.

The Headless 360 Ecosystem
The release is built around three core components.
APIs and MCP tools. Everything on the platform is now accessible via API, Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, or CLI command. This includes roughly 200 API operations now easily accessible for agents and coding assistants. The Data 360 MCP Server enables you to connect powerful LLMs to your Salesforce data without hitting context window limits.
Preconfigured coding skills. Over 30 skills are exposed through Headless 360, extending the platform surface in a way that changes how the platform can be consumed. Agents can now use tools like Claude Desktop or Claude Code to interact with the Salesforce Platform through MCP.
Multi-Agent Orchestration. Put your customers in the driver's seat. Build smart agent actions that customers can use to seamlessly integrate with standard Salesforce agents via Agentforce Script. Multiple specialized agents collaborate on one workflow, and the customer never sees the complexity.
Agents and humans can now build together using the same data, logic, and governance your business already runs on.
The Open Source Counterweight
At the same time, SEA-LION v4.5 arrived from AI Singapore. The open-source model suite is optimized for Southeast Asian languages and cultures.
The release includes two main models. Qwen-SEA-LION-v4.5-27B-IT is a 27-billion parameter flagship with native multilingual fluency across Burmese, Indonesian, Filipino, Malay, Tamil, Thai, and Vietnamese. A SpecDecoder variant accelerates inference by up to 6x.
Both models are open-source and free. They can run on a 32GB laptop. They represent a native regional alternative to the closed, expensive models coming from US tech giants.
Meanwhile, Singapore recently signed separate AI agreements with Google and OpenAI. OpenAI committed $234 million and launched its first overseas AI lab in the country. Google expanded cooperation into education, healthcare, and scientific research. The city-state is positioning itself as a neutral, talent-rich platform for AI deployment.
This is a bet on US closed-source models. It comes with dependencies — pricing power, policy changes, and data sovereignty concerns. Meanwhile, Chinese open-source models like Qwen and DeepSeek are expanding into Southeast Asia and the Middle East at a fraction of the cost.
SEA-LION is Singapore's attempt at a regional alternative. But it faces an uphill battle against the capital and marketing power of US tech giants.
What This Means for Southeast Asian Enterprises
The architecture is becoming more open. The models are becoming more regional. The pricing is becoming more outcome-focused.
Headless 360 means enterprises can build AI agents that work across systems without being locked into a single vendor's interface. SEA-LION v4.5 means enterprises can deploy models that actually understand their local languages and cultures. Per-resolution pricing means enterprises pay for outcomes, not for experiments.
Instadesk sits at the intersection of all three trends. It integrates with the best available models — whether open-source or closed. It delivers enterprise-grade AI customer service that works for Southeast Asian businesses. It charges for outcomes, not for access.
The architecture is changing. The models are changing. The pricing is changing. Instadesk was built for this new reality.
